1. About Ads Lanka

Ads Lanka is an online classified advertising platform that allows individuals and businesses to create, publish, browse, and manage advertisements across different categories.

Ads may include products, vehicles, property, jobs, services, fashion, electronics, home and garden items, adult-oriented services, and other permitted categories.

Ads Lanka provides the platform for users to publish advertisements but does not act as a party to transactions, agreements, services, or communications between users.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use features that require an account, you must provide accurate and current information, including a valid email address and password.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials confidential.
• Providing accurate information when creating your account.
• Maintaining the security of your account.
• All activity carried out through your account.
• Not allowing another person to use your account in a way that violates these Terms.

3. Posting Advertisements

Users may post advertisements in categories made available by Ads Lanka.

When posting an advertisement, you agree that:

• You have the legal right to advertise the product, property, job, or service.
• The advertisement complies with applicable Sri Lankan laws and regulations.
• Images and other materials used in the advertisement are lawfully obtained and may be published.
• You will not misrepresent the price, condition, location, availability, or nature of the advertised product or service.
• You will not use Ads Lanka to facilitate unlawful activities.

Ads Lanka may review, reject, edit, restrict, remove, or disable advertisements that violate these Terms, our policies, or applicable law.

4. Free Advertisements

At present, Ads Lanka allows users to publish advertisements without a posting fee.

Ads Lanka may introduce additional advertising features, promotional services, featured listings, or other paid services in the future. Any such services will be subject to additional terms and pricing that will be provided when they become available.

5. Adult-Oriented, Escort and Cam Service Advertisements

Ads Lanka may provide categories or sections where adults can advertise certain adult-oriented services, including escort-related or cam-related services.

However, the availability of an adult-oriented category does not mean that every activity, service, transaction, or advertisement is legal or permitted.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their advertisement and the services described in it comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Any advertisement involving a person under 18 years of age.
• Sexual exploitation of children or any other person.
• Child sexual abuse material or sexualized content involving minors.
• Human trafficking, forced labour, forced prostitution, or exploitation.
• Coercion, threats, intimidation, or abuse.
• Advertising or arranging sexual services where such activity is prohibited by applicable law.
• Procuring, recruiting, transporting, harbouring, or controlling another person for unlawful sexual exploitation.
• Advertising another person without their knowledge or lawful consent.
• Non-consensual sexual content or intimate images.
• Sexual content involving a person who has not given consent.
• Content that promotes or facilitates criminal activity.
• Any advertisement that violates applicable Sri Lankan criminal, child-protection, trafficking, online-safety, or other applicable laws.

Ads Lanka takes a strict approach to advertisements that may involve minors, coercion, trafficking, exploitation, or other unlawful activity.

Ads Lanka reserves the right to remove, disable, or restrict any adult-oriented advertisement where we believe it may violate these Terms, applicable law, or the safety of users.

6. User Responsibility for Adult Advertisements

If you publish an adult-oriented advertisement, you represent that:

• You are legally permitted to publish the advertisement.
• You are an adult and meet any applicable age requirements.
• Every person represented in the advertisement is an adult.
• Every person represented or described has provided the necessary consent.
• The advertisement does not involve trafficking, exploitation, coercion, or abuse.
• The advertisement does not offer or facilitate an unlawful service.
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Ads Lanka does not provide legal advice to users about whether a particular adult-oriented service is lawful.

If you are unsure whether an activity or advertisement is lawful, you should obtain independent legal advice before publishing it.

7. Prohibited Content and Activities

Users must not use Ads Lanka to publish, promote, arrange, facilitate, or solicit:

• Illegal goods or services.
• Fraudulent or deceptive offers.
• Stolen property.
• Counterfeit goods.
• Weapons or other prohibited items where their advertising or sale is unlawful.
• Controlled or illegal drugs.
• Human trafficking or exploitation.
• Child sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Non-consensual intimate material.
• Threats, harassment, or abusive content.
• Defamatory or intentionally misleading content.
• Content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Content intended to facilitate criminal activity.
• Content that violates applicable Sri Lankan law.
• Content prohibited under applicable online safety or cybercrime legislation.

Ads Lanka may remove prohibited content and may take other appropriate action where necessary.

8. User-Generated Content

Users are responsible for advertisements, images, descriptions, messages, and other material they submit to Ads Lanka ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you confirm that:

• You own the content or have the necessary rights and permissions to use it.
• Your content does not violate the rights of another person.
• Your content complies with these Terms and applicable law.
• Your content does not contain unlawful or prohibited material.

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant Ads Lanka a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the platform.

9. Images and Personal Information

You must not upload photographs, videos, telephone numbers, email addresses, identification documents, or other personal information belonging to another person without the appropriate permission or lawful basis.

You are responsible for ensuring that the personal information contained in your advertisement is lawful to publish.

Do not upload sensitive personal documents such as passports, national identity cards, bank details, passwords, or financial information.

10. Accuracy of Advertisements

Ads Lanka does not guarantee that advertisements are accurate, complete, genuine, current, or available.

Users should independently verify important information before purchasing a product, accepting a job, renting a property, paying money, or engaging another user for a service.

Ads Lanka does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, ownership, authenticity, or performance of any product or service advertised on the platform.

11. Transactions Between Users

Ads Lanka is not a party to transactions between users.

Any purchase, sale, rental, employment arrangement, service agreement, payment, meeting, or other transaction is made directly between the relevant users.

Users are responsible for:

• Verifying the identity of the other party.
• Checking the product or service before making payment.
• Agreeing on appropriate terms.
• Using safe payment methods.
• Taking appropriate precautions when meeting another person.

Ads Lanka is not responsible for losses, disputes, fraud, damage, injury, or other consequences arising from transactions or interactions between users, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Safety and User Conduct

Users must use reasonable caution when communicating or meeting people they discover through Ads Lanka.

You must not use the platform to:

• Harass or threaten another person.
• Stalk or intimidate another user.
• Collect personal information for unlawful purposes.
• Impersonate another person.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account.
• Send spam or malicious content.
• Circumvent security or access controls.
• Use automated systems to abuse or overload the platform.

13. Reporting and Content Removal

Ads Lanka may introduce additional reporting and moderation features as the platform develops.

At present, if you become aware of an advertisement or activity that may involve serious unlawful conduct, child exploitation, trafficking, fraud, threats, or another serious safety concern, you should contact Ads Lanka through the available contact information.

Ads Lanka may remove or restrict content without prior notice where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, platform integrity, or violation of these Terms.

Where appropriate or legally required, Ads Lanka may cooperate with competent authorities and provide information in accordance with applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

The Ads Lanka website, including its branding, logo, design, software, layout, text, graphics, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Ads Lanka unless otherwise stated.

You must not:

• Copy or reproduce the website or its original content without permission.
• Republish substantial portions of the website.
• Sell or commercially exploit our content without authorization.
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the website.

21. Limitation of Liability
